What is poultry wire mesh flooring?

Poultry wire mesh flooring is a welded grid panel that forms the floor and partition surfaces inside a poultry house. As flooring, it lets droppings pass through to the collection area below; as partitioning, it separates groups without restricting airflow.

Mesh aperture and wire diameter are selected according to the species and age of the birds. The correct aperture protects foot health while keeping the floor surface consistently clean.

Features and advantages

Hygienic floor structure

The open grid surface prevents waste from accumulating on the floor, keeping in-house hygiene at a consistently manageable level.

Continuous ventilation

Open apertures allow uninterrupted air circulation, reducing floor moisture and ammonia build-up.

Smooth surface finishing

Weld points and cut ends are processed smooth, removing the risk of foot and breast injuries.

Corrosion resistance

Hot-dip galvanized and stainless steel options withstand the high humidity and ammonia levels of poultry environments.

Easy cleaning

The smooth open surface is cleaned quickly with pressurised water and leaves no dead zones during disinfection.

Custom manufacturing

Aperture, wire diameter and panel dimensions are produced to suit the house layout and the species being farmed.

Applications

Floor grids

Floor surfaces in layer and broiler houses, litter-free rearing systems.

Partition panels

Group separation inside the house, walkway and service area boundaries.

Cages and transport units

Cage bodies, hatchery and chick rearing compartments, transport crates.

Frequently asked questions

Should I choose hot-dip galvanized or stainless steel?

Hot-dip galvanized coating provides sufficient protection under standard poultry house conditions and is the more cost-effective option. Stainless steel delivers longer service life where washing is frequent, chemical disinfectants are used, or humidity is permanently high, such as in hatcheries.

How is the mesh aperture determined?

Aperture is selected according to the foot structure and age of the birds. An aperture that is too wide creates a risk of trapped feet and injury, while one that is too narrow restricts waste passage and soils the floor surface.

Do you manufacture to custom dimensions?

Panel width, length, wire diameter and aperture are produced on a project basis. Share your house layout and the species being farmed, and we will specify a suitable configuration.
